He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Monk Maurer and Doris Maurer; his wife Betsy Wetzel; his sister Karen Riggs; his children, Julia (Patrick), Tommy (Paige) and Jimmy (Kristen); and his grandchildren, Brody Maurer, Caroline Stover, Scarlett Stover, Cooper Stover, Grant Maurer, James Maurer, Wesley Maurer, Andi Maurer and Vivi Maurer. He was also cherished by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
