It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bennie Smith of Clarkesville, Georgia, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Smith and Bessie Mealor Smith of Banks County; his wife Kathleen Williams Smith; and his siblings, Meredith Pitman, Anna Ruth Touchton, Janna Maril Holland and Fred Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Sue Smith of Demorest; his daughter Kathy; his son-in-law Keith Spivey of Mt. Airy; his grandchildren, Kassy Baird (Corey), Jared Smith (Ivy) and Kody Ryles (Kayla); and his great grandchildren, Connor, Annalyse, Easton, Kynlee and Klaire. He is also survived by two children, son.
His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family.
