It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Short of Clayton, Georgia, born in Cornelia, Georgia, who passed away on July 30, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent P. W. Short; his grandmother Hamby Short; his sisters, Theresa Short McCraw (FiFi), Nancy Short Jones (Carlton) and Melissa Short Beck (Stuart); his wife Eleanor Silver Short; his siblings, Charles Robert Short (Dee) and Kay Short Norton (Ronald); and his children, Margaret Short Sevilla (Mitzi) of Hilo, Tanya Short Hornsby (Kenny) of Eastanollee, Carmen Short Shagam (Jan) of Alpine, Stephanie Short (Tony Tichler) of Murphy and Tomy Short (Sharon) of Clayton, Georgia.. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Due to the current pandemic, a private graveside service for family will be held.
