He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dimmett Hughes Sr. and Anna Bell Reed Hughes; and his brothers, Dimmett Hughes and Eugene Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Miller (Lesley Lanter) and Bryan Hughes (Kelly Myers); his grandchildren, Taran Miller, Samantha "Chase" Miller and Caitlin Myers; and his son Clermont.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strickland and Sons Funeral Home (260 Main St, Clermont, GA 30527). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel (260 Main St, Clermont, GA 30527). A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
