He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Hardman, Sr. and Bertha Smith Hardman; his wife Fay Ethel Lipscomb Hardman; his daughters, Rebecca Thomas and Mary Cory; and his son-in-law Robert Owens.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jean Owens and Ann Thacker (Joe); his grandchildren, Richard Howell (Jessica), Sally Simmons (Clint), Brandy Floyd (Daniel), Amanda Smith (Justin), Bridgett Henry (Jason), Jacob Moore (Tori), Nicholas Moore, Rebecca Galvis (Mauricio), Zachary Owens (Kelly), Isaiah Thacker, Emmalea Thacker, Amy Avery (Jonathan), Isaac Owens (Logan) and James Cory; his sons-in-law, Roger Thomas and Bobby Cory; and his grandsons, Gavin Simmons, Clint Simmons and Chandler Howell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Matthias Episcopal Church (335 E Tugalo St, Toccoa, GA 30577). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at the Stephens Memorial Gardens (3650 GA-17, Toccoa, GA 30577).
