She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace B. Pittman and Hettie Ruth Powers Pittman; and her siblings, Dorothy Pittman, Roger Pittman, Martha P. Preskitt, Mary P. Crenshaw and Linda P. Shellnut.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas E. Gafford of Columbus, GA; her children, Dawn G. Walker (Bryan) of Ft. Worth, TX and Thomas E. Gafford, Jr. (Deanna) of Columbus, GA; her siblings, Wallace B. Pittman, Jr. (Catherine) of LaGrange, GA, Carol P. Meachum of Kennesaw, GA, Ilene P. McClure of Montgomery, AL, Irene P. Ketchum of LaGrange, GA and Jerry Pittman (Judy) of Jonesboro, GA; her grandchildren, Jeremy Nathan Walker, Luke Andrew Walker (Bonnie), Joshua Thomas Gafford and Anna Elizabeth Gafford; and her great grandchild Jedidiah Thomas Walker. She is also survived by her grandchildren and her great-grandchild.
