He was predeceased by : his parents, Sallie Mae Reese and Eddie C. Davis, Sr.; his wife Patricia Diane Davis; his siblings, Eula Mae Reese, R. P. Reese and Johnny Love Reese; and his nephew Morris Luther Reese.

Viewing was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church (1 Nuckols Rd, Phenix City, AL 36869).
