He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Powell, Sr. and Tommie Lee Powell; his son James L. Powell, Jr.; and his brother Don Powell. He is survived by: his daughter Lakisha Powell; and his siblings, Charles Robinson, Albert Powell, Jr., Roberta Robinson (Carl), Crystal Winston (Ray), Sharon Powell, Barbara Brown (Artis) and Doris Powell. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sconiers Funeral Home (836 5th Ave, Columbus, GA 31901). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery (553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856).
