James Thomas Fields Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Thomas Fields (Columbus, Georgia), who passed away on April 21, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Lottie Fields and James Fields; his wife Lilah Rhodes Fields; his sister Pat Fields; his wife Linda; his daughter Stephanie Fields Gray; his brother Butch Fields; his stepchildren, Chris Freiler (Amy), Mark Freiler (Tracey), C. Gerry Rhodes (Debbie), Carl A. Rhodes (Debbie), Debbie R. Hinman (Paul) and Lilah R. Morgan (Don); and his brothers, Cliff Brittingham and Phil Clark. He was also cherished by 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

Due to the current Health Pandemic the family will have a public service at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, Columbus, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that those so desiring may make donations to First Baptist Church 212 12th Street Columbus, Ga. 31901 where Tom's friend and Pastor Dr. Jimmy Elder serves.
