He is survived by: his daughter Brenda Barnes Reynolds; his grandchild Michael Reynolds (Beth); his children, Ronnie Barnes (Susan) and Michael Reynolds (Beth); and his grandchildren, Rick Reynolds (Stephanie), Manley Barnes (Carolina), Brandon Barnes (Christy) and Lisa Sullivan (Kyle).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks all those who would like to please make donations in James's honor to Trinity Temple or Columbus Hospice.
