It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell Gardiner Spettel (Columbus, Georgia), born in Thomasville, Georgia, who passed away on March 12, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Joseph Spettel, Jr.; her sons, Michael Alexander Spettel, Marcus Hutchins Spettel and Frank Joseph Spettel, III; and her brothers, Hooper Alexander Turner and Francis Hazelhurst Turner, Jr..
She is survived by: her son James Patrick Spettel; her daughter-in-law Jane Price Spettel; her sister-in-law Anne Turner; her grandsons, Jimi Spettel, Billy Spettel and Jonathon Spettel; her parents, Francis Hazelhurst Turner and Frank Joseph Spettel Jr.; her husband Hooper Alexander Turner; her brother Michael Alexander Spettel; her son Jane Price Spettel; her daughter-in-law Anne Turner; her sister-in-law Jimi Spettel; and her grandson Jonathan Spettel. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members, and many, many friends.
