She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Roberts Jernigan and Henry Moyston Jernigan; and her husband James Thomas Powell. She is survived by: her daughters, Rita, Candi and Jan; and her grandchildren, Janet Leigh Stewart (Jonathan) of Fortson, Candi Morast of Upatoi and Rita Jane Nance (David) of Midland. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
