With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Lloyd Hudson (Columbus, Georgia), who passed away on July 2, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Nell Higdon; his sons, Walter Lloyd Hudson, III (Angela Rubbo) of Raleigh, NC and James Frost Riley Hudson (Carroll) of Columbus; his siblings-in-law, Jane Higdon McLendon (Bobby McLendon) of Blakely, Bobby Higdon of Bainbridge and Joe Higdon (Deborah) of Bainbridge; his niece Stella McLendon Smith (Andy); and his nephews, Rob McLendon (Donielle) of Blakely, Joe Higdon, Jr. and Jim Higdon of Bainbridge.

In keeping with the guidelines to control the spread of COVID-19, the family will have a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers his family asks that friends consider remembering Dr. Hudson with gifts to the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation, Children's Miracle Network, 707 Center Street, Suite 100, Columbus, GA 31901 or Trinity Episcopal Church, 1130 First Avenue, Columbus, GA 31901.
