He was predeceased by: his child Juanita Renee Ash; and his sister Lucy Cordle. He is survived by: his wife Sondra Faye Whittle Gazaway; his children, Betty Jean Garner (Dean), William Otis Gazaway, Jr. (Susan) and Russell Gilbert Gazaway (Stefanie); and his siblings, Bessie Hurst, Virginia Lee and Ernie Gazaway. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
