He was predeceased by: his parents, Zora Daniel and Ruth Daniel (Dowdy); his son Frankie M. Daniel; and his stepsons, Tommy Newberry and Leon Newberry.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; and his children, Debra Baker (Roy), Steve Daniel (Valerie), Rose Newberry, James "Corkey" Newberry (Margaret), Delories Duncan (Joe), Glen Newberry and Jesse Edmund (Billy). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
