She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Jarrell and Geneva Jarrell; her husband James Earl Clay, Jr.; and her brother Edward Truman Jarrell, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Carol Clay Sluder, Clinton Earl Clay and James E. Clay, III; her grandchildren, Michael Alan Sluder, Justin Walker Clay, Deborah Sluder Ellington and Katherine Sluder Schroeder; and her great grandchildren, Justin Walker Clay, Jr., Lanier Church Clay, Ethan James Ellington, Avery Pauline Ellington and Lily Anna Schroeder.
