He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred West and Essie West; his wife Opal M. West; his sister Marie Waite; and his brother-in-law Oris Waite.
He is survived by: his children, Marland West and Bonnie West; his sister Carole Erving; and his siblings-in-law, Lester Erving, Carolyn Conner, Perry Conner, Jackie Housworth, Deloris Maddox and Judy Merritt. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
