Anita S. Gleaton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anita S. Gleaton of Cordele, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Anita shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Anita farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Preston Gleaton; her son Terry Lee Gleaton; her siblings, Hobby Stripling, Sr., Bennie F. Stripling and Elizabeth Lucas; and her parents, Jodie Lee Stripling and Thelma Hobby Stripling.
She is survived by: her sisters, Eudora Tyson of Oklashoma City, OK and Joelyn Cook of Cordele. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rainey Family Funeral Service Chapel (1415 E 24th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
