She was predeceased by: her parents, Dempsey Oren Edgar Cox and Mary Elizabeth Sheffield Cox; her husband Horace Lee Dean; her son Rickey Lee Dean; and her siblings, Earl M. Cox, Sr., Adrian E. "Sonny" Cox, Mary Frances Cox, Betty C. Jacobs, Elsie C. Crane and Bernice Ann Ryals.

She is survived by: her daughter Patsy (Jeff Grimsley); her daughter-in-law Patty J. Dean; her sister Joan Baldwin; her grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda Dean) of Cordele and Casie (Cote Jones) of Pitts; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Garrett Dean of Cordele, Rylee and Rhett Jones of Pitts. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
