It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Sims Rhodes of Cordele, Georgia, who passed away on September 27, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lillie Belle Hudson Sims and Robert Leon Sims, Sr.; her spouse Johnnie Reuben Rhodes, Jr.; her granddaughter Rhoda M. Sercer; her siblings, Erma Harvard, Edward Sims, William Sims, Cortez Sims and Jack Sims; her son-in-law John McWhorter; her children, Johnnie Rhodes III (Glenda) of Cordele, Ernie Rhodes Sr. (Sandy) of Cordele and Jackie McWhorter of Rochelle; her grandchildren, Kathy Burnette (Mike), Joyle Rhodes (Kim), Shannon Rhodes (Ashley Marie) and Trey McWhorter; her great grandchildren, Andrea (Jonathon), Olivia, Jackson, Carson, Katie, Preston, BoDee, Ashley and Macey; and her great great grandchildren, Lane, Harrison, Cooper and Ashton.
In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, face masks or face covers are recommended and seating will meet social distancing requirements.
