He is survived by: his wife Ruby Nell Hughes of Cordele; his sons, Mike Hughes of Blackshear and Rick Hughes (Cherri Thompson) of Cordele; his siblings, Bailey Hughes of Cordele, Lamar Hughes (Glenda) of Cordele, Charles Hughes of Cordele, Arlene Holmes (Charles) of Cordele, Faye Souter of Seville and Henry Hughes (Dawn Taylor) of Albany; his grandchildren, Amy Teston (Ray) of Patterson, Michael Hughes, Jr. (Emily) of Patterson, Jennifer Averill (John) of Byromville and Clint Hughes of Cordele; and his great grandchildren, Landon Teston, Beau Teston, Bailey Grace Averill, Sam Hughes, Novalee Hughes and John Monta Averill.
