It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Akins Jr. (Cordele, Georgia), who passed away on January 7, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James Akins, Sr. and Susie Mae Akins; his son Saxon Akins; and his siblings, Wilene Todd and Lillian Cross.
He is survived by: his daughter Keisha Parker (Corey); his grandchildren, Janine of North Carolina, Justin of North Carolina and Jazmine Gaines of North Carolina; and his siblings, Betty Clark (Robert) of Cordele, Georgia, Deacon Charlie Akins (Jean) of Cordele, Georgia, Joseph Akins of Cordele, Georgia and Melvin Leon Akins of Cordele, Georgia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many sorrowing friends.
