He is survived by: his wife Lou Johnson Bennett of Cordele; his son Bryce Bennett (Deidre); his grandchildren, Alana and Mason of Marietta; his sisters, Janet Haworth (Mark) of Valdosta and Judy Burkhalter of Atlanta; his sisters-in-law, Nanne Johnson-Morgan (Bill Morgan) of Knoxville and Loy Johnson (Jack Mitchell) of Norris, Tenn.; and his nieces and nephews, Tamela Wells, Rucker Wells, Lindsey Mosby (Tim) and Conrad Haworth (Leigh Ann).
