It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Charlotte Lewis of Covington, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph C. Blackmon and Willie Cole Blackmon; her husband William E. Lewis, Sr.; and her grandson Kory Lewis. She is survived by: her sons, Bill Lewis (Colleen) and Jimmy Lewis; her grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Brent), Jodi Lewis (Josh Long) and Alan Lewis (Rebecca); her great grandchildren, Maya Lewis, Chase, Braxton and Hayden Smith; her brother Joseph C. Blackmon, Jr.; and her nieces, Sherry McCarver (Stacey), Karen Smith (Greg) and Lynda Bernard (Tony). She is also survived by three great nephews and two great nieces along with great-great nieces and a great-great nephew.
