She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Dan" McKinney and Augusta McKinney; and her siblings, Glenn "Sonny" McKinney, Lawrence "DeDe" McKinney, Yolanda Christian and Beverly Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Patti Jackson (Danny), Markie Carroll, Billy Carroll (Barbara), Kela Sharpton, Austin Jackson (Brittney), Kaitlyn Carroll and Ellis Carroll; her great grandchildren, Paul Sharpton III, Anna Sharpton, Luke Sharpton, Scottie Jackson and Taylor Jackson; and her brother Russell McKinney (Susie).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Catherine's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 which was her personal charity of choice for many years.
