She was predeceased by : her parents, Bennie Hammock and Annie Johnson Hammock; her former life partner William Bynum Ford; her husband Robert Compton Bynum (Bob); her brother Thomas Hammock; her aunt Maude Johnson; and her grandson Michael Bynum Ware.

She is survived by : her daughters, Gwen Ware (James) of Calhoun, GA, Barbara Ford of Ruskin, FL, Gail McUmber (Jon) of Warner Robins, GA and Susan Wood (Ray) of Cuthbert; and her granddaughters, Marie Ware Taylor and Amanda Sue Wood. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
