It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Jackson of Cuthbert, Georgia, born in Morgan, Georgia, who passed away on February 2, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Abiff and Lytt Ragan Jackson; his wife Gloria Hooks Jackson; his siblings, Jeanette Medaris and Jimmy Jackson; and his grandson Roy Jackson.
He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Eugene H. Jackson (Ivy) of Hawkinsville and Rodney A. Jackson (Terri) of Cuthbert; his siblings, Sheila Sullavan of Florida, Ada Evermon of Columbus, GA and Bruce Jackson of Columbus, GA; his grandchildren, Misty Joiner (Rodney), Troy Jackson, Gabi Kendrick (Matt), Ashley Peppers (Dusty), Courtney Fader (Nick), Buck Jackson (Amber) and Niki Sloan (Dakota); his granddaughter-in-law Tara Sauls Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Reid, Meredith, Maggie, Jacob, T. C., Gage, Sarah, Emily, Joseph and Caroline.
