He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Hall "Tater" and Annie Lou Pickle Avera. He is survived by : his wife Dawn D. Avera of Cuthbert; his sons, Lance Avera (Megan) of Donalsonville, Vaughn Avera of Cuthbert, Heath Avera (Stacy) and Sean Avera (Celia) of Jacksonville, FL.; and his sisters, Betty Powell of Arlington, Ouida Tedder of Cuthbert and Carolyn Wilkins (Edward) of Edison. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
