She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Cecil and Myrtice Dykes Swords; and her husband James Edward "Ed" Deal. She is survived by: her sons, Glen Deal (Cheryl) of Vero Beach, FL and Jerome Deal (Donna) of Cordele; her brother Jimmy Swords; and her grandchildren, Melissa, Stephen and Jonathan Deal.
