He was predeceased by: his siblings, Robert Upchurch, David Upchurch and Laura Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Betty Upchurch; his children, Mike Upchurch (Sandy), Gainesville, Sandy Butler (Jeff) and Acworth; his grandchildren, Jessica Butler, Melissa Butler and Carrollton; his siblings, Juanita Payne (Bruce) and Kenneth Upchurch; and also Dacula.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to First Baptist Church Buford in memory of Mr. Upchurch.
