He is survived by: his sons, Charles, Jr. (Lynnzie Cates) and Tony Cates; his fiancés, Tia Stanfield of Dahlonega and Gail Holland; his partner's daughter Sylvia Tanner of Dahlonega; his sisters, Brenda (Jeff Gustafson), Sherry (Robert Graham), Rachael Genson and Jacqueline Hare; and his granddaughter Phoebe Cates. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
