She was predeceased by: her husband Walter J. Carpenter. She is survived by: her son Dennis Dean; her daughter-in-law Anne Carpenter; her daughters, Mary Susan Cheatham of Dahlonega and Nancy Carpenter of Dahlonega; her grandsons, David Cheatham, John Cheatham and Robert Cheatham; her brother Leslie Max of Gainesville; and her sister-in-law Ann Davis of Gainesville.
