He was predeceased by: his brothers, Calvin (Ruth Whitehead), Eugene (Florine Whitehead) and Jewell (Lottie Whitehead); and his siblings-in-law, Louise, Olin Stewart, Janette and R. M. Townsley.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Whitehead; his sons, Dwayne Whitehead, Ronald Whitehead and Shane of Dahlonega; and his daughter-in-law Michelle Whitehead of Dahlonega. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
