With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tona Carter of Dahlonega, Georgia, born in Helen, Georgia, who passed away on November 10, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Parley Kanaday and Mera Freeman Kanaday. She is survived by: her husband Lewis Carter; her children, Bonnie Smith (Glen), James Carter (Kathy) and John Carter (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Levi Smith (Codie), Samantha Smith, Mera Smith, Brad Stallard, Justin Stallard, Sean Travis, P. J. Travis, Abby Carter, Joseph Carter, Jack Carter and Lily Carter; and her great grandchildren, Alex Thompson and Kipton Smith. She is also survived by numerous friends and other relatives.
The family asks that if you attend, please wear a mask. Strict social distancing will be enforced for the visitation.
