We are sad to announce that on June 1, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Keith Rakestraw of Dallas, Georgia. Though Keith may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Keith touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lawson "Bobby" Rakestraw and Fay Eidson Rakestraw. He is survived by: his son Ryan Rakestraw (Breana); his grandchild Rylee Rakestraw; his siblings, Steve Rakestraw (Charlotte), Alisa Trout (Dale) and Carla Findley (Steve); and also Pat Rakestraw. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; other extended family.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benson Funeral Home, Inc. (309 Hardee St, Dallas, GA 30132). The lying in state will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Zion Baptist Church (2562 Villa Rica Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
