It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Gayle Alford of Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Alford and Ester Kate Maynard Alford; her sister Brenda Stokes; her grandparents, Jim and Essie Mae Branham Maynard; her aunt Nina Jo Richardson; and her uncles, Levi, James, Houston and Charles Maynard.

She is survived by : her daughter Essie Nicole "Nikki" Smith; her sisters, Carol Cannon and Barbara Willis; her nieces and nephews, Rhonda Stokes, Charles Che Powers, Kendal Vassar, Sloane Vassar, Barry Willis, Sr., Kimberly Mitchell, Marvin Maynard Stokes (Stephanie), Taylor Gage Mitchell, Barry Willis, Jr. and Maxwell Stokes; and her sister Lerniece Dillard (Tracey). She is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel (2011 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Dalton, GA 30721).
