He was predeceased by : his parents, Addis Bernard Gordy, Sr. and Eula Albritten Gordy; his son Alan Gordy; his stepson Henry "Juckie" G. Lord, Jr.; and his sisters, Florence Cowey and Susie Moore.

He is survived by : his wife Geneva P. Gordy; his sons, Donny Gordy (Mary Ann) and Ronald Gordy (Sandra); his stepdaughters, Kathy Audulewicz (Don) and Linda Lord (Rickey); and his siblings, Paul C. Jackson and Blanche Snelgrove. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ila Cemetery.
