She was predeceased by: her parents, Ceola Burks and Doug Clark; her stepfather Bill Burks; her sisters, Lillian Anderson and Alberta James; her children, Annie Vera Whiters and Roger Whiters; her siblings-in-law, Willie Fred James, Jim Whiters, Gussie Pearl Lloyd and Dorothy Whiters; and her niece Beverly Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Charlie Whiters, Jr. (Emma Jean), Doris Whiters (Charlie), Gloria Peters (Jesse), Maxine Whiters, Barbara Whiters and Raleigh Whiters (Mary); her grandchildren, Cassandra, Sonya, Maqueta, Gabriel, Derrick, Roderivus, Natasha, Tia, Santeyonne, Josette, Trevis, KeRon and Zachary; her sister Katherine Jackson (Alton); her sibling's children, Harold Jackson, Tony Jackson, Adrianne Jackson, Joann Lewis and Mary Katherine Wigfall; her friends, Annie Lee Dennard, Mattie Randall, Ray Pittman and Merlene Pittman; Bobby Crawford and Annie Ree. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren.
