He is survived by: his children, Monica Lynn (Stephen) and James Franklin Jr.; and his grandchildren, Carolyne Grace (Monica), Stephen Andrew, Jr. (Monica), Catherine Paxton (Jimmy) and Emery Rose (Jimmy).
