She was predeceased by: her parents, Hershel Addison and Ethel Addison; her great grandchildren, Mason Payne (Emma), Raelyn Payne, Ian Snell, Mackenzie Snell, Anniston Cochran, Lennon Cochran, Payne Fields, Lucy Fields and Tatum Ponder; her husband A. Vernor Payne; her children, Joyce Payne Henley and William David Payne; her grandson William David Payne II; and her brother Deweece Addison.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Payne Ponder (Ernest) of Dahlonega, GA; her daughter-in-law Pam Payne of Foley, AL.; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Snell (Scott), Bailey Cochran (Justin), Addison Fields (Jay), Davis Ponder (Jalen) and Britton Henley.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morningside Baptist Church (6065 Morningside Dr, Columbus, GA 31909). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
