He was predeceased by: his parents, Oren Philyaw and Stella Philyaw of Tate, GA; his son-in-law Doug Vadner; and his brothers, Jim Philyaw and Bill Philyaw.
He is survived by: his wife Eulalie Ledbetter Philyaw; his daughters, Connie Vadner, Wanda (Ron Grice) and Andrea Phillips; his grandchildren, Jonathan Jordan, Adam Grice, Colby, Amber Denard, Anna, Austin Williams and David Ford; his great grandchildren, Jocelyn Jordan, Anderson Williams, Max Denard and Liam Grice; his sister Frankie Eubanks of Murfreesboro, TN; and his sibling's children, Debbie Eubanks and David Eubanks.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bearden Funeral Home (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel (334 Hwy 53, Dawsonville, GA 30534).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Amicalola Baptist Church, and may be sent to 448 Cowart Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
