She was predeceased by: her parents, Franciszek Szymd and Anna Jamroga Szmyd (W. W. II); and her grandmother Agnieszka Szmyd. She is survived by: her daughter Diane Brajta-Clark (James); her sister Teresa Gravlin (Edward Gravlin); her godchildren, Ela Soja and Roger Gravlin (Tara); and also Emil Szmyd. She is also survived by her brothers and cousin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tom M. Wages Funeral Service - Lawrenceville (120 Scenic Hwy S, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. After the COVID pandemic, her daughter took her on her last wish travel request, Austria where the Szmyd family also has roots.
