He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Dover and Lizzie Dooley Dover; his wife Edith Church Dover; his son Larry Dover; and his siblings, Authur Dover, Wilburn Dover, Earl Dover, Ruth Dover Hill, Essie Dover Harris and Mary Ann Dover Whittener.
He is survived by: his daughter Kay D.; his son-in-law Bobby Barron of Clarkesville; his son David; his daughters-in-law, Cindy Dover of Demorest and Jeanne Benfield Dover of Demorest; and his brother Jimmy Dover of Toccoa. He is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
