He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" and Laura Parker Patton; his wife Annie Mae Franklin Patton; and his son Sammy Patton. He is survived by: his children, Jeanette (Wendell Canup), Anita (Paul Brown), Jennifer (Matt Brock) and John Patton; his daughters-in-law, Donna Patton of Demorest and Sue Patton of Clarkesville; his sisters, Juanita Rawlins of Mountain City and Patsy Love of Clayton; Nancy Ramey. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
