She was predeceased by : her parents, Marion Douglas Hathcock and Essie O'Neal Hathcock; her husband Harris Lincoln Kennedy; her son-in-law Ray Shirah; and her brother Earl Hathcock.

She is survived by : her children, Angie Kennedy Shirah, Wally Douglas Kennedy and Teddy Harris Kennedy; and her grandsons, Jason Shirah (Stephanie) and Lance Douglas Shirah. She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
