It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Audrey Alday Earnest of Donalsonville, Georgia, born in Colquitt, Georgia, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Noah Phillips and Alice Faircloth Phillips; her former life partner Ralph Alday; and her siblings, Ruth Rathel, Geneva Croom, Louise Phillips, Joyce Sartain and Earl Phillips.

She is survived by : her husband J. C. Earnest; her sons, Bill Alday, Dr. Michael Alday (Deborah) and Stephen R. Alday (Stephen King); her grandchildren, William Alday, Heather Alday-Byll, Ryan Alday, Janna Alday, Cali Alday, Erin Alday, Macy Alday, Jacqueline Alday and Allison Harmon; her brother Lamar Phillips (Loretta); her stepchildren, Randy Earnest (Jill), Lisa Newberry and Vicki Mercer (Bill); her stepgrandchildren, Randall Earnest, Erica Broome, Cameron Glass, Jordan Newberry, Jackson Newberry and Caden Mercer; and her caregiver Shelly Smith. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
