With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Lanier of Donalsonville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Chandler and Mary Lee Alday Chandler. She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Thuillier (Paul) of Millen, GA, Jacqueline Scruggs (Jimmy) of Bainbridge, GA, Teresa Phillips (Johnny Taylor) of Donalsonville, GA and Vanessa Casey of Pelham, GA; and her grandchildren, Nancy Jo Oglesby, Sebrina Myers, Lindsey Flake, Jessica Newberry, Tony Reynolds, Marsha Robinson, Randy Phillips, Cassandra Phillips, James Phillips, Jennifer Pate, Rachel Casey, Cody Casey and Brooke Bass. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home (909 S Tennille Ave, Donalsonville, GA 39845). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
