It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Moody of Doraville, Georgia, born in Tampa, Florida, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Carolyn Severance and George Barnes; and her brother Steven Barnes. She is survived by : her siblings, Mary Ann Bailey of Lexington, KY, Glenda Hoegger of Pontiac, IL, Ellen Bailey of Tucker, GA, Carol Severance of Ashville, NC and Randall Barnes; and her children, Kevin Mize of Ellijay, GA, Brian Mize of Cartersville, GA and Lori Mize Caillouet of Dallas, GA. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Paws Atlanta (https://pawsatlanta.org), an organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats - a cause Barbara felt strongly about.
