He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Watkins and Eileen Newton Watkins; his daughter Sarah Jean Watkins; and his brothers, Gerald, Richard and Robert Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Watkins of Douglas, GA; his children, Kristi Watkins of Douglas, GA, John Scholtz (Teresa) of Chippewa Falls and Nathan Watkins (Sandy) of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Jessica Howell, Dillon Scholtz, Sarra W. Breedlove, Anwen W. Breedlove, Jacob Hutto, Kennedy Watkins, Brendzy Northcut, Vincent Scholtz and Isabella Johnson; his great grandchildren, Abigail and Annabell Howell; and his sisters, Mary Jurgens of Mondovi and Barbara Peterson (Mark) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
