Claude Ray Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Claude Ray of Douglas, Georgia, who passed away on April 19, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Middleton Ray and Pearl Sears Ray; his wife Winnie Lou Cady Ray; and his siblings, Palmer, Avery, Johnny Ray, Grace Ray, Linnie Land and Rowena "Early" Cook.
He is survived by: his sons, Juran Ray of Douglas, GA and Buddy Ray (Becky) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Mandy Ray Adams (Josh) of Perry, GA, Zach Ray, Cady Ray of Douglas, GA, Madison Ray of Knoxville, TN, Michael (Knoxville) and Taylor Ray of Knoxville, TN; his great grandchild Emma Grace Adams of Perry, GA; and his sister-in-law Faye Adams of Douglas, GA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Due to COVID-19, Sims Funeral Home Inc. will require all guests and attendees to wear appropriate medical grade face-masks and maintain social distancing at all times while visiting our facility, and highly encouraged at our services outside of our facility.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missions, Douglas, GA.
